Dillon Behr has been a fitness instructor at several gyms over the last eight years. He began his coaching career at Potomac CrossFit. He then went on to co-found and operate the non-profit gym, CrossFit Walter Reed in 2011. This gym was located on the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and focused on functional fitness training for combat-wounded service members and veterans.
A lifetime focus on being extremely physically and mentally fit has served Dillon well in life, and helped him become a Green Beret in the US Army. After being seriously wounded by enemy gunfire in Afghanistan in 2008, where he earned a Silver Star and the Purple Heart for his actions in combat, Dillon used CrossFit and other fitness activities greatly to aid his rehabilitation.
Since then, it has been a mission of Dillon’s to stay fit and help others do so. He has also been active with another organization that provides yoga training to veterans and their family members. Dillon has also trained at Orange Theory Fitness, and received certification in Kettlebell training and weightlifting.
Dillon’s experiences will serve TCR in building and branding the program to the Arlington, VA area.
Dillon holds a graduate degree from Georgetown University and an entrepreneurship certificate from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
